Travel Policy

Pineapple Air would like to help you prepare for your trip. To help make you travel experience a more pleasant one, here are some things that can guide you.

Check-in

Check-in begins two (2) hours prior to departure time.

Flights close forty-five (45) minutes prior to departure time. Passengers without a confirmed ticket should confirm before the flight is closed. Once the flight is closed, non-confirmed seats will be released and sold.

Please be present at your departure gate thirty (30) minutes prior to you scheduled departure time.

Proof of Identification

A government issues photo I.D. such as a passport, driver’s license, voters card or NIB card will be required at both check-in and the security check point.

Connection Times/ Connecting Flight

Please ensure that you allocate a minimum of three (3) hours between international arrival and departure times. Pineapple Air will not be liable for any cost incurred due to reasonable delays that may prevent you from making your connecting flight.

 

Checked Baggage

Passengers are allotted one (1) checked bag free of charge. Checked bags that exceed 40 pounds or exceed 62" (157.48 cm) in overall dimensions (length + width + height) will incur a fee.

 

If your luggage has been delayed or damaged, it is important to file a claim with Pineapple Air prior to leaving the airport and within four hours after flight arrival. In the event of failure to give notice, no action shall lie against Pineapple Air. Please retain airline ticket receipts, claim checks and damaged goods until the research process is completed.

Carry-On

Each passenger may bring aboard one personal item (brief case, purse, small back pack). Personal items must be stowed under the seat in front of you.

 

Pineapple Air assumes NO LIABILITY and/or RESPONSIBILITY for:
 
·         Items carried in the passenger cabin.
·         Fragile or valuable articles such as: cameras, computers and any other electronic equipment or components, jewelry, cash or other similar valuable items in checked baggage.
·         Perishable items in checked baggage.
·          Normal wear and tear to baggage which includes, but is not limited to, torn seams, scuff marks, scratches, tears, cuts, gouges, punctures, dents, etc.
·         Damage to oversized, overweight, over-packed and previously damaged baggage.

Prohibited Items

For your safety, some items are prohibited onboard. These items include, but are not limited to:

·         Explosives: Fireworks, gun powder, signal flares

·         Pressure Containers: Spray cans, scuba/propane tanks, compressed gases, self-inflating rafts

·         Flammable Material: Paint, fuel; Bleach, cleaners & solvents, insecticides

·         Batteries

·         Other hazardous materials

Fire Arm & Weapons

Firearms:

-      Have it in a case, not loaded, and placed in checked luggage. Under no circumstances will a firearm be allowed onboard any aircraft.

-      Passengers are required to travel with their gun license.

-      A Pineapple Air member must be notified of any fire arms

 

Knives and similar objects (letter-openers, straight-razors, scissors, etc.) must be secured and placed in checked luggage

 

Ticket Changes & Fees

Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are valid for one (1) year from date of issue.

All changes are subject to a change fee and are dependent on original ticketing date, route of flight and flight time. Charges are per segment.

Travelling with Pets

The average pet travel charge is $40 and they are treated with the same quality in customer care as you are. However, before purchasing your ticket please call our customer service to ensure that we can accommodate your pet.

Pets which are allowed inside the cabin include: SMALL household dogs, domestic cats and rabbits.

You can bring one pet kennel as your carry-on bag if:

·         Your pet is at least 8 weeks old

·         Your pet stays in their kennel and under the seat in front of you for the entire flight

·         There will be a pet carry-on charge of $25 to $50 each way.

·         A pet traveling in cabin must be carried in a hard-sided or soft-sided kennel.

·         The maximum dimensions for kennels are 17.5 inches long x 12 inches wide x 7.5 inches high.

 

*Pineapple Air assumes no liability for the health or well-being of carry-on pets.

Pets NOT Allowed inside the cabin include: Large Dogs

You can bring one pet kennel as your checked luggage if:

·         Your pet is at least 8 weeks old

·         Your pet is in a hard, locked kennel. kennel and under the seat in front of you for the entire flight

·         Charge is $35.00 for a total weight of 0-50lbs and $60.00 for a total weight of 51-60lbs. 

 

*Animals are not permitted to travel un-accompanied

Service Animals

A service animal may accompany a qualified individual with a disability. If the animal obstructs an aisle or emergency exit, the passenger will be asked to move, with the animal, to a seat location where the animal can be accommodated. If this is not acceptable, the animal travelling may need to be checked in as cargo.

*Service Animals are limited to one animal in cabin per flight MUST be placed in a carrier.
